At homeArama we take sustainability seriously. As a small business we are certainly not perfect but we are working our way through all our ranges to ensure they are as planet friendly and as sustainable as possible, like many we have new generations to worry about and take care of.

For all of us sustainable means many things but we feel an important factor is the life of a product. As our Grandparents taught us if we take care of things then they should last! All our products are selected with that in mind; they are built to last. They may cost a little more but once bought then they should never need to be bought again! A benefit to your pocket, but also the planet.

If you find anything you disagree with or want to know more about then, please, just ask, this is an ongoing work in progress! Call us on 01993 867075 or email [email protected]. We care!

The Mission of Relaxound literally translates to offering more quality of life with feel sound.

Relaxounds, based in Berlin and founded in 2013, support sustainable practices. They locally source all their wood from a production company based in Thuringia, Germany. The wood itself comes from properly managed regional woodlands and forests. The company adheres to all international quality standards including ISO, FSC, and Fair Trade certifications.

They also have manufacturing facilities in India which adhere to Fair Production Standards. This means ensuring fair wages, fully paid holidays, the employment of 50% female workers plus 5% who have disabilities, the provision of pay during lockdowns/vaccinations and donations to local communities within the district.

In terms of environmental protection measures Relaxound actively support 1% for the Planet, an internationally active association with the aim of contributing to the maintenance of the environment - the network works with almost 4,000 audited non-profit environmental protection organisations

Relaxounds also support 2 organisations within their countries of production. In Germany they support Verein Bergwaldprojekt dedicated to the preservation and maintenance of forests. In India they support Sadhana Forest, transforming eroded and desiccated land into a living, tropical dry forest.

In terms of product donations they give away free soundboxes to hospitals, old peoples homes and hospices.
