ROKA are now certified as a B Corporation (or B Corp). To achieve this accreditation ROKA had to meet rigorous social and environmental standards which represent its commitment to goals outside of shareholder profit, goals that seek to protect our planet.
The Bantry B backpack has 4 straps so you can carry it as a normal bag by hand or easily switch to carrying it on your back. It has a front pocket closed by a sturdy zip and protected from the elements by an over flap. Inside there is a secure inside zipped pocket and a laptop or tablet sleeve. The bag itself is securely closed by a tough, weatherproof zip so that you know its contents are both safe and dry!
All ROKA London nylon bags are made using fabric waste from production processes such as scraps, rejects, offcuts and trimmings. ROKA take this waste, that would otherwise simply be thrown out, to repurpose and spin it into new material. Recycling such waste creates a durable nylon as well as being a great way to reduce waste. The nylon material has a shiny look and smooth feel to it.
Built to last, Roka hardware is stylish and durable. From their chunky zips and padded materials to their vegan, leather-like straps, their goals are fashion, functionality, long life and, of course, quality.
Roka Bags are extremely lightweight and come with strong, durable cotton-webbing straps designed to create the Roka V-Factor moulding to your body over time for maximum comfort. This unique VFactor design and adjustable fit make Roka bags ideal for back carrying, ensuring weight is evenly distributed across your back.
All Roka Bags have additional weather-resistant, extra durable, padded canvas at the base of the bags to protect from ground damage, dirt and to provide extra support.
Roka large bags can take laptops up to 17 inches in size. The medium is fine for laptops up to 15 inches in size. Their littlest bags, the small size, are best for tablets and not suitable for laptops. All bags have padded pockets to keep your tech safe.
Roka realise that carrying heavy laptops or loads can be hard work, especially now we work from coffee shops and anywhere. No matter how much you have in your bag, their V-Factor straps ensure the weight is evenly distributed across your back for maximum comfort and less stress on you.
No matter where you are going or what you are doing, one of our Roka bags will be just right for you! There are places for water bottles, laptops, books, note pads, clothes, wallets, personal items and much much more!

For all of us sustainable means many things but we feel an important factor is the life of a product. As our Grandparents taught us if we take care of things then they should last! All our products are selected with that in mind; they are built to last. They may cost a little more but once bought then they should last for many years, if not a lifetime! A benefit to your pocket, but also the planet.
If you find anything you disagree with or want to know more about then, please, just ask, this is an ongoing work in progress! Call us on 01993 867075 or email [email protected]. We care!
Roka London, a family company, truly care about our world and its future. So much so they have been certified as a B Corporation (or B Corp). To get this accreditation exacting social and environmental standards have to be met which represent a companies commitment to goals outside of shareholder profit.
The B Corp certification has 5 key impact areas; Governance, Workers, Community, Environment and Customers. The certification process is extremely rigorous with applicants being required to provide evidence of socially and environmentally responsible practices relating to energy supplies, waste and water use, worker compensation, diversity and corporate transparency. It is also compulsory to legally embed their commitment to a purpose beyond profit in their company articles.
100 million single use plastic bottles are used worldwide every day with a massive 80% of those never being recycled ending up in our landfills, our countryside and our oceans. Roka have created a sustainable range of bags made out of recycled plastic bottles and waste specifically to address this challenge to help recycle waste and protect all land and marine life.
PET material (polyethylene terephthalate, a raw petroleum-based material) is widely used in plastic bottles and other food packaging all over the world. Roka use recycled PET (or rPET) in their nylon sustainable bags giving a brand new and purposeful life to a material thats not biodegradable and would otherwise end up in landfill or the ocean.
For their canvas range Roka use waste from fabric production that would otherwise be thrown out, such as offcuts, rejects, scraps and trimming, and spin it all into a new repurposed and usable material.
Roka have also dived deep into the manufacturing processes developing a new production method that uses a whopping 85% less energy, 80% less water with 65% fewer emissions than traditional methods.
They have also taken a closer look at their packaging completely redesigning that as well. The Roka Sustainable range that we stock at homeArama comes in corn starch-based, biodegradable packaging.
All in all Roka is committed to a sustainable operation caring for their customers, their people, their communities and, of course, our planet. We are proud to be stockists here at homeArama.
